Global construction firm, Faithful and Gould, has selected IRT Surveys to join SCAPE under its National Asset Management, Surveying and Design Services Framework (AMSandDS).
The Dundee-based infrared thermographic survey specialist was approved following a thorough prequalification assessment and is now part of the Faithful and Gould supply chain for the SCAPE national framework.
Set up in 2005, SCAPE seeks to assist public sector organisations whose aims are to improve, by collective action, the delivery of their property function to the benefit of their communities. The frameworks allow authorities to find and buy services very quickly and efficiently at competitive rates by cutting out wasteful procurement processes. The initiative is expected to generate projects of up to £1bn to the public sector over a four-year period.
Faithful and Gould, a global construction project and cost management consultancy, was appointed as the lead supplier for the framework in mid-2012 following a competitive OJEU compliant process which saw six private sector firms compete for the contract at full tender stage. This new agreement supersedes SCAPE’s design framework, which has been successfully providing professional design services since 2008.
Stewart Little, CEO of IRT Surveys, said: “SCAPE and Faithful and Gould aim to provide a more holistic solution for public sector clients with this framework and we’re delighted that IRT Surveys, and infrared thermography, are part of those plans. It’s a hugely exciting development and we’re very much looking forward to working together for the duration of the framework.”
