Summer Rain
9th August 2012
The British summer has proven to be rather a wet one. This has caused many issues with leaks into buildings and flat roofing faillures. IRT Surveys offer a nationwide service using a range of non-destructive test methods. Infrared Thermography can detect ingress pathways and help determine the extent and amount of trapped moisture. ELD can determine holes in the roof surface and pinpoint the exact location of failure. ELD works on any non-conductive roof membrane providing it is unballased/dry and the deck is not an insulator. Where the roof is ballasted or badly ponded, IRT offer, ELLD testing. This method shows the general location of a defect allowing further investigative techniques to be used. All of our test methods a re non-destructive meaning you will not invalidate any guarantees on your roof. They are all non-disruptive as well which means you can carry on business as usual while we a re testing.
